I requested a mild green curry and even made a comment under notes - very mild please. But it was quite spicy and so very disappointed. I have ordered green curry before and have never had it this spicy.

The food at the White Elephant has flavors that are as close to those that you will get in Thailand. Hands down the best Thai food in Calgary. The only negative is the location which is a bad as you could possibly have for a restaurant.

Great food. Advise, make sure you select spice level or Thai spice. Plain is default.

I will often (as I did today) drive an hour out of my way for the Thai Green Curry here. However today I also ordered fresh salad rolls - when they came they were completely split. All three. Very obviously old. I brought them back and they "re-made" them - the chick was so dry it was inedible and their explanation was that they overfilled with veggies. The solution. I had the saddest most expensive salad rolls of my life. Go for the curry but 100% skip the salad rolls.

No cutlery came with the order. Also the salad rolls were all stuck together and tore as we tried to pull them apart making a huge mess. But it was very tasty.

The food was very tasty. There was some confusion with our order however- I asked for beef in one dish and it came with chicken. I indicated a tree nut allergy and our food all said no peanuts, which is not the same thing. We called the restaurant and they did acknowledge the concerns, which I appreciated.
